Dibs

Terms of Use

Effective October 8, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Mathieu Askamp, France ("we", "us"), the publisher of Dibs. By using Dibs you accept them. They apply together with the terms of the store you got Dibs from (Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula, or the Google Play Terms of Service) and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can play

You must be 13 or older. Spicy and other 18+ packs are only for players 18 and over: they are hidden for younger players and never offered in a game with a player under 18. If you live in Texas, Utah or Louisiana, you must be 18 or older for now. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to any purchase. One account per person. Keep your sign-in safe: you are responsible for what happens on your account.

2. The game

Dibs is a game between people who know each other. Cards are playful requests. You never have to do a card: you can use a joker, let the timer run out or leave the game. Never do anything that is dangerous, illegal, or that someone has not freely agreed to, whatever a card says.

3. Your content

You own the photos, videos, names and reactions you post ("your content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store and show your content to the players of the game you posted it in, only to run Dibs. This license ends when your content or your account is deleted, except for copies another player saved on their own device.

Only post content you have the right to post, and only film people who agree to be filmed.

4. What is not allowed

Every player and every proof can be reported, and every player can be blocked. We review reports and may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice when safety requires it. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.

5. Dibs+ subscription

6. The service

We work to keep Dibs running but we may change, pause or stop features. We measure how Dibs is used to improve it (usage analytics, described in the Privacy Policy); to object, write to us through the contact form. Dibs is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, or for what players do in real life because of a card. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

7. Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Before going to court, contact us so we can try to solve it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will tell you in the app when a change matters. Questions: use the contact form.
